The Ministry of Labour & Employment launched the e-Shram Portal to build a comprehensive national database of unorganized workers (NDUW). Registered workers receive a Universal Account Number (UAN) card providing access to government social security welfare schemes, insurance coverage, and financial assistance during emergencies.
Eligibility Requirements
Any unorganized worker aged between 16 and 59 years, not an income tax payee, and not a member of EPFO or ESIC.
